Senior Market Risk Analyst

RJC have partnered with a energy company who have a global presence, leading the charge in the renewable transition. looking for a Market Risk Analyst to support their build out of a competitive renewable and de-carbonised product trading arm.

The primary responsibilities entail identifying, analysing, and managing market risks within their portfolios, with a particular emphasis on Renewable Energy Sources and other decarbonized alternatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing hedge strategies for renewables; Capture factor modelling and estimation.
• Participating in the approval process for complex and large transactions, ensuring comprehensive understanding of all exposures, including overlooked risks.
• Developing standardized methodologies for entering complex and long-term contracts ensuring accurate reporting of difficult-to-value elements like physical optionality
• In collaboration with FO and risk internal (Quantitative methods and wider Market Risk) teams support developing and maintain of asset-backed risk models.

What You'll bring

• 5+ years experience working within Market or Quant risk teams within energy or commodities trading.
• Strong programming skills (Python and SQL are a is a must)
• Profound usage of different risk models and methodologies in order to model real world commercial contracts. Ability to manage interface to quant teams.
• Knowledge of market risk concepts and statistics is a must.
